Now he is set to be part of WrestleMania Night 1’s main event by teaming up with Roman Reigns to battle Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag match.
That bout will be to determine the stipulation of the following evening’s WWE Universal Championship match between Reigns and challenger Rhodes.
Tensions are now mounting as the extravaganza edges closer, and things boiled over between the Final Boss of The Bloodline and the American Nightmare yesterday.
The Rock firstly shocked Monday Night Raw viewers as he confronted Rhodes at the start of the show in the middle of the ring.
However, rather than get physical, the icon just whispered something to his rival before leaving.
Rhodes was asked about it backstage, and he revealed that it was a promise that the Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment would not be able to keep.’
But that was nothing compared to what happened later after Rollins and Rhodes saved Jey Uso as he beat Shinsuke Nakamura after Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa tried to interfere.
Rhodes was brawling with Jimmy from the ringside area into the backstage when suddenly The Rock attacked him from behind.

He then told the world to take a look at their hero as he was laid out on the ground as he tossed him into a huge truck that led to blood gushing from Rhodes’ forehead and into his eyes, hair, and ears.

Rock then pulled out a weightlifting belt that had “Mama Rhodes” imprinted on it and began sadistically wiping blood from his foe on to it.
He then told Mama Rhodes that he would keep his promise and give her that belt at ‘Mania before telling his opponent that his father, Dusty Rhodes, knew nothing about hard times but that he would teach Cody all about them.
WWE commentator Michael Cole described Rock’s surprise appearance as “unsettling” but wrestling fans across the world absolutely loved it as they posted on social media afterwards.
One wrote: “Absolute cinema! The Rock showing why he’s the final boss!”
Another commented: “Do MORE stuff like this. It’s so damn good and nostalgic. Best Raw in forever.”
A third said: “What a f***ing show!”
A fourth wrote: “Absolutely incredible! Tonight’s #WWERaw finale was legendary, thanks to The Final Boss, The Great One, The People’s Champion, @TheRock!
“Dwayne, you never fail to amaze us.”
And a fifth added: “The final boss is not playing around. That was one hell of a segment. If you weren’t hooked for WrestleMania, you absolutely should be now.”
