As Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour marches on, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, continues supporting the pop superstar in person and from afar.

During a recent show, however, a concert-goer captured the Kansas City Chiefs tight end texting—but Swifties fiercely defended him from backlash.

On Friday, March 8, a TikTok user posted footage from one of Swift’s concerts in Singapore. Swift performed “I Knew You Were Trouble” in the clip as the camera panned over to where Kelce was sitting in the arena’s club seating area.

The video zoomed in, showing the NFL player grooving to the music while looking at his phone. In overlain text, the TikTok user wrote, “It’s giving supportive bf .”

In the comments, fans defended Kelce’s cell phone use, with one person writing, “That’s literally the only time I’ve ever seen a phone in his hand.”

Another Swiftie pointed out, “It’s a 4 hour show is he not allowed to communicate with others outside of the people there lmao.”

Meanwhile, another person commented, “He may be on his phone for a second but he’s still dancing so yes he’s a supportive boyfriend.”

Someone else imagined what Kelce might have been texting, writing, “‘hey baby I really like that part in trouble you look cute cu soon arighnaw.’”

Yet another TikTok user commented, “Cause she never picked up her phone during a Chiefs game I think they are fine.”
