With your Los Angeles Lakers still smarting from a 130-120 home loss to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday that’s significantly more embarrassing than it looks (LA led by as many as 19 points in the first quarter, and subsequently trailed by as many as 22 points in the second half), we figured now was as good a time as any for taking stock of the top two forthcoming free agents for LA on the Kings’ roster.
Veteran reserve center Alex Len had a modest statistical night while playing a shade under ten minutes. The seven-footer did pull down three boards and burn one foul in his limited run.
Currently signed to a one-year, veteran’s minimum deal, the big man is essentially what the Lakers wanted out of their Jaxson Hayes signing.
The top impending free agent prospect for LA on the Kings’ roster, of course, is a player the Lakers know all too well: ex-Purple and Gold shooting guard Malik Monk.
