The 34-year-old NFL pro’s signature buzz cut became a viral sensation overnight as requests of what is now dubbed the “Travis Kelce” skyrocketed in barber shops across the nation, as recently reported by Inside Edition.
More and more fans have gone to their stylists asking for the clean-cut style, which according to Kelce’s barber, Patrick Regan, consists of bald shaves on the sides that gradually fade into the a three-blade shave. The look is much shorter than the boy bander-ish style Kelce used to wear.
Regan calls the technique the “skin fade” or “bald fade” which is what fans can also suggest to their barbers if they want to look like the Super Bowl-bound star.

Regan adds that the “Travis Kelce” cut has gotten a stamp of approval from Swift, who has accompanied Kelce at his hair cutting sessions multiple times, one of which was captured on camera by the “Karma” singer with her signature filter and later shared to Instagram.
“Taylor loves the haircut,” Regan told Fox News. “She has watched me cut his hair a bunch of times and always compliments it after.”
Regans admits that he isn’t doing anything new.
“The funny thing is, it’s such a simple haircut, you know. Barbers have been doing this haircut for centuries,” Regan told Good Morning America, adding that other barbers have reached out to let him know that they’ve seen a boost in requests for Kelce’s razor-sharp look.

Kelce started working with Regan six years ago, when he messaged the barber on Instagram to schedule an appointment while he was training in Florida, where Regan is actually based. Regan didn’t open shop until 10 a.m., but he happily took Kelce in four hours earlier which was greatly appreciated.
Since that fateful meeting, Regan has gone to Kansas City each week during football season to cut Kelce’s hair, which will be freshly shaved for the upcoming Super Bowl in Las Vegas where the Chiefs will play against the San Francisco 49ers.
