Lady Gaga recently gave her fans an update on her life and the reason behind her low profile in recent months. In a lengthy open letter on Instagram, the Grammy winner expressed her gratitude to her 55 million followers and shed light on her creative journey.
Gaga shared the various projects that had occupied her time, saying, “I’ve been experiencing my creativity ever since last summer in a really special and private way.” She revealed her involvement in writing and producing music for a special project, her preparation for the character in the movie “Joker,” and her extensive filming for the same film.
She also mentioned running her start-up, Haus Labs, engaging in philanthropic work, and working on the edit of the Chromatica Ball film. Acknowledging her absence from the spotlight, Lady Gaga emphasized the positive impact it had on her well-being: “I can say for the first time in many years that my love of making art, music, fashion, and supporting community has never been more fulfilling.”
She conveyed her hope that her fans understood the healing and recharging nature of her time away, stating, “I hope you know this time to myself has been extremely healing and recharging for my heart, mind, body, and creativity – to create within myself and to have a personal life that’s just for me.”
She has been focused on her personal growth
The acclaimed artist admitted that her recent period of seclusion aligned with her desire for solitude and personal growth. She confessed: “It’s really nice to just have time to be alone, and be expansive, and know that you’re enough.” Gaga wished she could have advised her younger self on the importance of self-validation rather than relying on external validation.
