The Calder Trophy race has been unofficially decided as being between two candidates as the favorites.

Minnesota Wild defenseman, Brock Faber who played 25 minutes a night, as a top-pairing defenseman in place of injured Captain Jared Spurgeon. An impressive feat, as he has played 81 games, posting 46 points( 7 G, 39 A) playing in all situations.

While the Chicago Blackhawks own, Connor Bedard had missed a month, due to a fractured jaw. He quickly came back, fishbowl on, and ready to go as he continued to put all other NHL rookies to shame. Playing 67 games in his first season in the NHL has scored 61 points( 22 G, 39 A) averaging 19:46 TOI per game.

Also playing on the power play and being one of the best offensive players for the Blackhawks this season.

He was asked about the race between himself and Brock Faber and he admitted he hasn’t been paying attention at all to the Calder Trophy race, as he is more focused on his own game at the moment, to better himself.

Bedard exercises his humbleness yet again to compliment his competitors and remain focused on his own goals, which is great.

Bedard seems like the kind of guy who you’d want to face in a match, as he practices sportsmanship like it should be.
