When former Canadian hockey goalie Mikayla Demaiter made the choice to stop pursuing a pro hockey career and instead focus on modeling, she made a very, very good choice.

There’s not a ton of money in women’s pro hockey, unfortunately. If you watch, they’re actually pretty good. But, there’s a ton of money in Instagram modeling, and when you have 2.3 million followers, it’s going to flow in pretty quickly.

According to the not-super-reliable news-reporter.com, her net worth is $1.5 million. Again, who knows how accurate that number is, but she’s clearly raking in money.

Mikayla Demaiter stepped away from hockey in 2019 due to injuries, but in her day she was a pretty good goalie with sights set on the Canadian National Team, which battles team USA for basically every major international championship, including the Olympics.

The model, who just turned 23 in May, has now made it mainstream. Just google “Mikayla Demaiter” and you will find results from sites like ours and many others following her every move. She may be the most popular Canadian import since Justin Bieber.

And, with Instagram posts like this, it’s no wonder why she’s so well-known.
 

It is after Memorial Day, so it’s not a fashion faux-pas to wear white. And, that may just be her color.
