Mikayla Demaiter’s Impressive Hockey Video Causes A Stir

Mikayla Demaiter broke a lot of ground when she became arguably the most popular female hockey goalie in the world at one point.

Demaiter’s rise to prominence was unlikely, especially given her relatively minimal experience as a top-tier player, but impressive nevertheless.

Although her time as an active player appears to have come to an end, the young star has successfully parlayed her notoriety into a very lucrative social media influencer career.

This week, Demaiter found herself in the headlines once more for her latest batch of wild photos. The pictures in question largely speak for themselves:

Obviously this isn’t the first time Demaiter has blown up online in this fashion. In fact, there is a case to be made that her last batch of photos was far more racy than this current one.

Nevertheless, these images are quite impressive as well. As is just her standard Instagram content, which never fails to gain significant traction among her more than 1.4 million followers on the platform:

It is difficult not to draw parallels between Demaiter and two other iconic athletes-turned-influencers: Paige Spiranac and McKayla Maroney.

Spiranac also enjoyed a decent amount of success in golf early on in her career, before later transitioning into becoming something of a commentator and representative of the sport. These days she sets the internet ablaze with her racy outfit choices and provocative club antics.

Maroney, similarly, was one of the most well-regarded gymnasts of her era. She won a gold and silver in the 2012 Olympics for her trouble. These days, she is churning out extremely popular posts showcasing her seductive wardrobes, wild poolside videos and incredible Valentine’s day pictures.

It is very easy to see a scenario where Demaiter follows their lead in the coming years.

There is an argument to be made that Demaiter is actually further along in her social media career than either of the aforementioned ladies were in theirs at this age.
