New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider thought he reached a milestone in his career, but upon review, his goal was disallowed and a hilarious moment ensued.

Late in the second period of Saturday’s contest between the New York Rangers and Arizona Coyotes, Chris Kreider scored to give his team a 4-2 lead. The goal was Kreider’s 300th of his National Hockey League career and given it was a milestone, his teammates picked up the puck and gave it to him.

However, the officials reviewed the goal after the Coyotes used their coaches challenge for offside and it was determined that the play was offside and after it was announced, Kreider threw his puck back onto the ice.

It didn’t take the 32-year-old very long to score another goal, this time one that actually stood, officially giving him his 300th career NHL tally in his 807th game.

In the last three seasons, Kreider has taken a step forward in his career when it comes to goal scorer, tallying 52, 36 and so far this year, 35. If the Rangers are going to have any success in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this spring, they’ll need Kreider, among other key players on their roster, to be at the top of their game.
