Khloe Kardashian is set to open up about finding out that Tristan Thompson fathered a baby with another woman as they were preparing to welcome their second child on the new season of The Kardashians.

In July, it was confirmed that the on-again, off-again couple were having a baby via surrogate, but months earlier it had been revealed that Tristan had a baby with fitness instructor Maralee Nichols.

Their child, Theo, was born just a month after Tristan and Khloe conceived theirs.

Now, in a new teaser for the second season of The Kardashians, Khloe is shown on screen talking about the betrayal for the first time.

‘There is something I am ready to talk about. Tristan and I are having another baby and it’s supposed to be a really exciting time, but it’s just a different experience,’ the reality star, 38, says to the camera.

‘This has been a difficult time in my life, but it’s the start of something positive and happy and beautiful,’ she adds.

The scandal looks set to be the focus of a special episode of this series, which will premiere tomorrow.

In the 30-second teaser, a tearful Kris Jenner is also shown, and says that it is ‘hard to watch’ her daughter in pain.

While Khloe has previously spoken about her shock at finding out Tristan had fathered a baby with another woman while they were together, she has not yet publicly commented on how it affected the lead-up to the birth of their second child.

Their son, whose name has not yet been released, was born early last month.

However, in a June episode of The Kardashians, Khloe expressed her hurt after finding out about Tristan having a baby with another woman.

‘I find out what Tristan is doing with the rest of the world,’ she said.

‘A courtesy would be not doing it. But fine, if you do it, you are not even going to give me a f**king heads-up before the rest of the world?

‘It is just an additional slap in my face. It is humiliating. I am embarrassed. I would prefer to be alone than to be around people.’

It’s not the first time the NBA star has found himself embroiled in headlines for cheating on his partner.

In the lead up to the birth of his and Khloe’s daughter True, now 4, it was revealed that the athlete had cheated on her multiple times, including with Jordyn Woods, the best friend of Khloe’s younger sister Kylie.

While he also demanded a paternity test to confirm he was the father of Nichols’ son, when the claims were confirmed in January, he issued a grovelling apology to Khloe.

‘Khloe, you don’t deserve this,’ he wrote on his Instagram story. ‘You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.

‘My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.’
