Larsa Pippen was considering adoption and surrogacy with her ex-boyfriend Marcus Jordan just weeks before they split for a second time – and she had even discussed her options with close friend Kim Kardashian.

News of their second split in two months broke on Wednesday, with reports that the Real Housewives of Miami star, 49, has finally separated from Marcus, 33, after their romance became ‘irreconcilable.’

But insiders have told DailyMail.com that a failure to decide on children and marriage spelled the end for their short-lived relationship, which had reportedly grown so ‘stale and boring’ that it had become ‘unfixable.’

‘Larsa and Marcus are no more, but this breakup might last a little longer,’ they said.

‘They didn’t know when they wanted to get married, they didn’t know if they wanted kids and things were becoming stale and boring and routine.

‘Marcus is more of a homebody and Larsa wants to be the toast of the town so it was hard for them to have a joint life with individual life goals.

‘They just couldn’t meet in the middle and it all came to a head. There was no major crazy argument, just a bevy of things have added up that they tried to fix, but as of right now, it is unfixable.

‘Conversations of a surrogate and adoption were discussed as Larsa has had those conversations with Kim. But it never got to a point where it was going to happen.’

According to another source, Larsa’s ex-husband Scottie is hoping their children – sons Scotty Jr., 22, Preston, 21, and Justin, 18, and daughter Sophia, 14 – can come out unscathed from their mother’s on-off romance with the basketball player.

‘Scottie is worried his children could get bullied or made fun of over the relationship and even the relationship ending,’ they said.

‘People can be cruel, kids can be cruel, so if their kids, especially their daughter Sophia, can come out unscathed from it all, then that’s a positive from the split.

‘That was one of the main things that always bothered him, the fact that his kids would have to deal with their mom’s decision to date Scottie’s enemy’s son.

Larsa initially began talking to Marcus in 2019, and they had 'a great foundation as friends' before dating from 2022. They previously split and quickly reconciled back in February

‘But now that the relationship appears to be over for good, everyone can move on.’

Larsa was previously married to Scottie Pippen from 1997 until 2021 when they finalized their divorce.

Scottie was teammates with Marcus’ dad, NBA legend Michael Jordan, in the 1990s.

The source added that Larsa and Scottie ‘will not get back together in any way shape or form romantically’ in the wake of her split.

DailyMail.com has contacted reps for Marcus, Larsa and Scottie for comment.

Last year, Larsa revealed that she was not done with having children.

Speaking on Separation Anxiety – her joint podcast with Marcus – she said: ‘[I’m] open to having one more child. It’s one of those things where I think time will tell, you know?

‘I do feel like I’m happy, because I have four kids, and I feel like you don’t have kids, so basically it’d be a question for you. Because I’m really fulfilled with my four children.’

Marcus added: ‘There’s been conversations around [having kids].

‘When we go and we meet people, or I’m introducing you to some of my friends, or you introduce me to some of your friends I feel like it gets brought up.

‘But I feel like we’ve never had a one-on-one, private conversation about having children.’

Another insider told DailyMail.com that Larsa has just wrapped House of Villains and is focusing on her kids and her single life

Following their split, Larsa is reportedly keen to focus on her children and promoting House of Villains in which she stars alongside fellow Housewife Teresa Guidice and The Bachelor’s ‘Queen’ Victoria Larson.

Larsa and Marcus were first linked in 2022 after they were seen putting on a loved up display during a stroll on Miami Beach.

But they split last month, with an insider telling DailyMail.com that their differing opinions on starting a family and a failure to align their visions for the future had fueled the break up.

‘Their age difference played a major factor in the split, and on top of the fact that Marcus wants to have kids while she wants to be more of a celebrity,’ they said.

‘They both had different ideas of what their family was going to be like and that built lots of stress.’

They later reconciled and were spotted looking loved up on Valentine’s Day, with sources claiming they were trying to figure out if their 18-month romance was ‘worth fighting for.’

Marcus’ father Michael had previously publicly expressed disapproval of his son’s relationship.

Asked last summer if he approved, he initially laughed then said: ‘No.’
