The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards will honor Beyoncé with the Innovator Award at the ceremony taking place on April 1. Male rapper Ludacris will perform and take on the role of live host at the Dolby Theater, Los Angeles (USA).
iHeartRadio also celebrated Beyoncé’s “passion for charity work”, especially work through the BeyGOOD organization. The organization has helped communities with a variety of issues, from disaster aid to water and housing shortages, to supporting young entrepreneurs and career development.
Also at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Taylor Swift leads the nomination list with nine nominations including categories such as Song of the Year, Pop Song of the Year (for Cruel Summer), and Artist of the Year. Last year, she and Harry Styles won the highest number of nominations in eight categories and became the most awarded artists on the awards night, with six awards, including Song of the Year with Anti-Hero.
Additionally, Jelly Roll, 21 Savage and SZA all have eight nominations in their respective categories, while Olivia Rodrigo is close behind with seven nominations. The 12th awards ceremony honors the artists and songs with the most airplay on iHeartRadio radio stations in 2023 and will introduce a series of new categories across different music genres, including Pop Artist of the Year, K-pop Artist of the Year, Outstanding New Artist (K-pop) and Favorite Debut Album.
Ludacris will be joined by previously announced artists including Justin Timberlake, Green Day, TLC, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Tate McRae and more. The event will also feature a special musical performance in memory of 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards Icon Award recipient Cher.
“I look forward to hosting the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards and sharing the stage with some of the best artists in music,” said Ludacris. “This will be a great night to celebrate fan favorites with special performances that fans can’t miss.”
