Taylor Swift’s “Eras” Tour features the musician performing three-and-a-half-hour shows each night for captive audiences.

During these concerts, fans are amazed by the presentation of ten different eras of Swift’s career, with changing costumes, instruments, stage decorations, and such.

Being a guitar player, besides her vocal and piano playing skills, Swift uses a variety of guitars during her live shows – custom versions of standard models, rare limited-run designs, and more.

Here are some of the more interesting guitars used by Swift (via Guitar):

Taylor Guitars

Swift has been using instruments from the Taylor Guitars acoustic guitar company ever since her early days in musical waters. Some of the most iconic models used by the singer-songwriter include the diamante-encrusted GS6 used on her “Fearless” tour in 2008 and the custom red Taylor 614ce featured on the “Red” tour.

Gibson guitars

Taylor has been using Gibson acoustic guitars as her primary instruments on the “Eras” tour. Each instrument used complements the Era currently being presented through song & performance via color and visual presentation.

Some of the more interesting ones are the diamante-clad Gibson J-180, two different Gibson J-180 models clad in pink and baby blue respectively, and an elegant Gibson Hummingbird.

Most of the Gibson guitars used by Swift are currently commercially unavailable, however, there are exceptions – the Hummingbird is a standard model that you’d easily find in a store.

Electric guitars

Taylor Swift is known to rarely shake things up a bit by exchanging the acoustic guitar with an electric one. These guitars include a Les Paul Studio with a red diamante finish, a red-sparkle Les Paul Standard, the Taylor T5, and a Johnny Marr Jaguar. The Red Sparkle Les Paul could be seen on the opening night of the “Eras” tour, while the other guitars haven’t yet featured.

Taylor Presentation Series PS-24ce Grand Auditorium

While all the guitars on the list have a story and sentimental value to the artist, no instrument matches the Taylor Presentation PS-24ce Grand Auditorium model. It’s custom-built with a flamed koa body, a distinctive matching soundhole cover, and a beautiful “Byzantine inlay” of “Taylor” on the fingerboard.

The guitar used by Swift has an unconventional “Florentine” cutaway with a sharp point, distinctive from the regular GA. It also has an ebony peghead and bridge, Gotoh tuners, and ivoroid binding.
