It would’ve been a Cruel Summer if Ina Garten had missed out on seeing Taylor Swift in concert – with the famous chef revealing she managed to secure tickets to the popstar’s Eras tour in Paris.

The 76-year-old, who is releasing memoir Be Ready When the Luck Happens in October, opened up in an interview with People about being a fan of the singer, 34, and how she ended up scoring the coveted tickets.

‘I’m going to be in Paris in May, and I thought, “Wait a minute, isn’t she going to be in Paris in May?”‘ she said.

Much like other committed Swifties all over the world, Ina went online in the early hours of the morning to score a spot at the now sold-out Eras tour.

‘At three in the morning, I was online, seeing if I could get two good tickets, and I did,’ she said triumphantly.

‘Now I’m trying to figure out what I can wear that’s sparkly,’ the acclaimed chef quipped.

Ina didn’t reveal who she’ll be singing along to Taylor’s songs with, but said she and a ‘very good friend’ will be attending.

Despite Ina scrambling for tickets, she has spent time with the All Too Well singer in the past, gushing about her admiration for the performer.

‘I met Taylor actually when Food Network Magazine asked rock stars 10 years ago who their favorite Food Network people were, and Taylor chose me,’ Ina reminisced.

‘So she came for a photo shoot for the day, and then we saw each other for a while afterwards,’ she continued. ‘She invited me to lunch and she came back for lunch one day in East Hampton. I just so admire her.’

It’s not Ina’s first Swifty rodeo however with the famous face attending Taylor’s 1989 tour in 2015.

‘She invited us to come to the party afterwards, and we just had an incredibly wonderful time,’ she recalled.

The chef wished Taylor a happy birthday in a Instagram post in 2019, describing her as a ‘beacon of light for women of all generations.’

‘Including me!’ she quipped, alongside a sweet snap of the two of them.

‘What a brilliant speech at the Billboard awards. Congratulations!’ she concluded the sweet message, adding the hashtag #womanofthedecade.

In 2021, Ina had another sweet birthday message for the popstar, calling her one of the ‘most creative artistic geniuses of our time!’

‘You are such an inspiration for anyone who wants to sail their own ship,’ she gushed. ‘Sending love.’

The Midnights singer credited the chef for changing her perspective on cooking.

‘My most potent memories of Ina come from when I first discovered her TV show,’  the singer recalled at the time.

She continued: ‘I was in my teens, and my life revolved around touring. On my rare days off at home, I barely ever cooked because it had always felt like a chore.’

The Shake It Off singer described Ina’s approach to cooking as a form of self-care.

‘Ever since, cooking has been my escape from stress and one of the only ways I can truly calm myself on a rough day. I’ll always be grateful to her for giving me that,’ she said fondly.
