Oops, she did it again — she fooled people into thinking she was Britney Spears.

Allegra DuVal, 35, from Virginia Beach, said she’s been compared to Britney Spears her whole life and decided to capitalize on her looks.

DuVal has made $25,000 traveling the US as a lookalike dancer who lip-syncs, South West News Service reported. She doesn’t sing, but she’s studied ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical dancing since she was 3 years old. She’s had the honor of performing alongside Nelly, Deadmau5, David Guetta, and Skrillex at nightclubs and festivals as a professional dancer.

She first performed as Britney during Dancer Pride in 2018 and was professionally booked for the first time as a Britney lookalike for a birthday party in 2021.

“I’ve been told my whole life I resembled her,” she said.

“I was 10 years old when she came out with ‘Baby One More Time’ and I’ve been a fan ever since,” she added

She’s yet to meet her pop idol but it pays to look like her. Her favorite songs to dance to are “Work B—h” and “Slave 4 U.”

DuVal makes around $3,000 for a one-night performance. The cost also covers her travel expenses. She also makes money by posting lookalike content for brands on social media.

“After my first few performances I started making costumes, built a website, and started promoting myself as a Britney performer,” she said.

“Now I’ve been to like 30 different places around the country performing to her hits,” she added.

DuVal said her job is a lot harder than people may realize because of the time she spends, “prepping hair and costumes, keeping up my spray tan, nails and makeup and learning choreography.”

She has two gigs per month but spends weeks planning for each show. She said her dancing career gave her the skills she needed to keep up with her demanding schedule.

“Because I have been a professional dancer for many years, I was already used to keeping my nutrition and fitness up — I love to work out, be fit and eat well. I also love wearing makeup and being tanned too, so it works out,” she said

“The only thing that can be a chore is the travel — I can spend 17 hours traveling for one 15-minute performance,” she added. However, around 75% of her gigs are in California.
