A GLAMOROUS former soccer star who quit the beautiful game for a shock role in WWE has made her in-ring debut.

And she even used a soccer-inspired overhead kick as a finishing move.

Jade Gentile, 25, is a New Yorker who once played pro soccer for Icelandic side UMF Aftureldling.

But in November 2022, she swapped the sport for a place on NXT’S fall class in a bid to become a wrestler.

The WWE brand has paved the way for numerous stars become big names on the main circuit.

And Gentile impressed during a trial in Nashville to secure her spot in the class of 2022.

But soccer fans were left blown away when she revealed her finisher to be an overhead kick.

The move sent Hail spiralling as Gentile showcased her incredible athleticism.

But it was not enough to secure victory as she eventually tapped out after being tangled up in a grapple.

Despite defeat on her debut, Gentile will now be hoping for more opportunities in the ring.

Reflecting on the tolling nature of wrestling, she previously said: “It’s very physically demanding.

“Soccer is what I thought was the hardest sport there is. In football, you’re taking tackles, but they’ve got pads. You don’t have pads in soccer.

“So you’re getting hit hard, tackling people hard, it’s not a joke. I thought I could overcome everything. Then I came here and it pushed me to my limits.”
