WWE superstar John Cena was given advance notice of City’s upcoming pre-season tour of the USA this summer – and it’s fair to say he’s very happy about it!
Manchester City return to USA for 2024/25 pre-season tour
In a spoof video segment to mark the news of our trip across the pond this July, Cena jumped on a call with star striker, Erling Haaland.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, the 16-time world heavyweight champion couldn’t disguise his delight as he posed as Haaland’s No.1 fan, complete with club kit, flowing blond wig as well as posters of the Premier League ace on his wall.
Coming up initially on Haaland’s phone screen with ‘camera off’, Cena tentatively enquires: ‘you can’t see me?’ which, as fans of Cena know, is his famous catchphrase.
After telling Cena ‘you have to stop doing this’, Haaland returns to end the video by admiringly saying ‘his hair looked good!’
