John Cena made quite the entrance to the Oscars on Sunday night.

When the WWE wrestler-turned-actor came to the stage to present the award for Best Costume Design, he seemed to forget his own costume, walking onto the stage naked.

He and Oscar host Jimmy Kimmel shared some banter about Kimmel’s plan for Cena to run across the stage naked, but the 16-time world champion was feeling insecure and having second thoughts, lacking his signature jorts look.

Ultimately, Cena reluctantly walked out on the stage with the nomination card as his only cover to present the award. He managed to get into partial costume before announcing the winner, the crew for Poor Things.

Cena has made a name for himself in the ring, but he’s had a busy year on the screen, starring in several movies. Cena appeared in Oscar-nominated “Barbie,” “Fast X” and others in 2023, and has already starred in two movies—”Argylle” and “Ricky Stanicky”— in 2024.

If Cena ever wins an Oscar of his own, he’ll likely have on a different costume than what he wore on Sunday.
