Taylor Swift‘s former manager, Daniel Dymtrow, filed a lawsuit against the Swifts, claiming that they owed him payment for his services during Swift’s early years.
Dymtrow alleged that they paid him a mere $10,000 after he worked for them for two years and provided Swift with connections in the industry. In the court documents submitted by Dymtrow, there were controversial emails from Swift’s father, venting about his family.
According to the emails obtained by The Mirror, Scott Swift was unhinged and shared his anger about not receiving enough credit for his efforts in propelling his daughter’s career. He expressed in the emails that he did not get the chance to go to places like New York with her, despite spending money on those trips.
He added that he was going to do everything in his capacity to advance Taylor Swift’s career. He also took a dig at Andrea Swift, hinting that she would divorce him in a jiffy over these claims. Scott Swift vented in the emails (via The Mirror):
“Who gets to go to New York, New England and every cool appearance? Not dad. Can’t fix hair. Dad talks too much. Who pays for trips to New York? Dad. I am going to do anything that I think is appropriate to do to advance Taylor’s career. Finally, if you want to get rid of me, please forward this to Andrea.”
Scott Swift also told the former manager that no one was going to aid the Cruel Summer singer in becoming successful more than him. He also claimed in the emails that he was Swift’s biggest fan.

the way that Scott talked about Andrea in that email is horrific…. he is a misogynist through and through

his feelings may be relatable but his behavior is still unacceptable. That is often the difference that parents don’t understand. That is a problem to work out with your spouse not email a music manager. And his attitudes towards his family are concerning even if relatable.

Many also came to his defense, calling his behavior “old school” and “conditional love”. Some also pointed out that it has been 18 years since he wrote those emails and were optimistic that Scott Swift had grown more mature in the intervening years.
Most recently, Scott Swift was seen hanging out with Ed Kelce, father of Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce, at one of the latter’s games.
