In the plot, three men embark on work for their month-long stay at an isolated lighthouse in Scotland. Thomas (Peter Mullan), James (Gerard Butler) and Donald (O’Connor Swindle) arrive at the site and during maintenance work on the island they find a body on one of the slopes.
Donald goes down to see if he is alive, but ends up attacked by the man, so Donald has no choice but to kill him.
