Lady Gaga has climbed the heights of the music industry to reach superstar status as a singer, songwriter and performer.
And on Sunday the New York City native showed she isn’t afraid to tackle other worldly heights when she headed out and spent part of the afternoon rock climbing.
The Born This Way star, 34, gave her 44.3 million Instagram fans and followers a glimpse at her courageous feat by sharing a photo of herself scaling the side of a huge rock.

The photo was taken several feet above Gaga’s head as she looked to reach a platform area where she could take a brief breather.
She made a simple but profound statement about the strength and courage it took to part-take in the dangerous sport by captioning it with arm bicep and red heart emojis.
Her back muscles could be seen bulging when she reached out to take her next steps dressed in a grey sports bra.

She also donned matching grey shorts, tan sneakers and a baby blue helmet over her long blonde tresses.
To help stave off the powerful glare from the sun, Gaga (born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) wore dark sunglasses.

In an interview on CBS Sunday Morning last month, the Grammy winning shared how the pressures of fame had caused her to contemplate suicide.
‘I totally gave up on myself, I hated being famous. I hated being a star. I felt exhausted and used up,’ she said of her mental health struggles.
But she was able to break through her depression, in part, by channeling that pain and darkness into her latest studio album Chromatica.
‘I don’t hate Lady Gaga anymore,’ she said before confessing, ‘I found a way to love myself again, even when I thought that was never gonna happen.’
Her latest single, 911 off of Chromatica, addresses mental health and the use of anti-psychotic medication.
