Charlize Theron Indirectly Hints Retirement From Action Genre

Charlize Theron is one of those actors in Hollywood who clearly justifies that age is just a number. During an interview with the reputed media outlet Allure, the actor spoke about facelifts and even indirectly hinted towards her retirement from the action genre. She said-

“The thing that really bums me out is that I make action movies now and if I hurt myself, I take way longer to heal than I did in my 20s. More than my face, I wish I had my 25-year-old body that I can just throw against the wall and not even hurt tomorrow. Now, if I don’t work out for three days and I go back to the gym, I can’t walk. I can’t sit down on the toilet. It’s all those very real moments.”

While talking about going for a facelift, she said-

“My face is changing, and I love that my face is changing and aging,” she says. But “people think I had a facelift. They’re like, ‘What did she do to her face?’ I’m like, ‘Bitch, I’m just aging! It doesn’t mean I got bad plastic surgery. This is just what happens.’”

Charlize Theron has always been very vocal about almost everything in public and as well as on social media. During the interview, she even pointed out that she hates the aging discrimination between men and women. As it has been perceived since ages that men age like fine wine and women like cut flowers, Charlize Theron mentioned that women always want to age in a way they feel is right.
