Famous for being outspoken and supportive of the LGBT community, Bad Bunny recently caused a stir by wearing a dress on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Not only that, but his shirt also bore a Spanish message translating to, “They killed Alexa, not a man in a dress.”

Recently in Puerto Rico, there was a murder case involving a homeless transgender woman named Alexa Negrón Luciano. Before her death, Alexa was frequently subjected to mockery and ridicule by locals, who would take photos of her and post them online. According to multiple sources, the group of perpetrators even filmed these incidents to share on social media and repeatedly threatened and harassed Alexa.

Many netizens have expressed outrage and sorrow over Alexa’s unjust death. The hashtag #SeLlamabaAlexa, meaning “Her name was Alexa,” is gaining attention on social media platforms. Local media coverage of the incident referred to Alexa as “a man in a dress,” which likely prompted Bad Bunny’s decision to wear the shirt on The Tonight Show stage to express his viewpoint that Alexa was a true woman and did not deserve to be shot just for using the women’s restroom.
