The Fast And Furious actor was asked by the show host if ever she and her mother have commented on unknown people in their mother tongue. The actor went on to explain a sticky situation involving her native language with a stranger at the New York Airport. She said-

“I was taking a flight to New York and this guy was very rude. My mom and I were just ripping into him thinking that he couldn’t understand a word. And then he turned around and stared at us and said….. ( speaking in Afrikaans). We had no comeback”

Charlize Theron further mentioned that she was totally taken aback by the stranger talking to her in her native language Afrikaans. According to the stats, only a few people in the USA speak Afrikaans, which forms a very small percentage. The situation left the actor embarrassed as she could not think of a valid response to the stranger.
