The brand could make Curry a billionaire

Through his association with the brand, Curry stands poised to potentially achieve billionaire status.

Recently, the apparel company and the renowned Golden State Warriors star finalized a new, extensive contract. Per the terms of this agreement, Curry will oversee the management of his own Curry Brand.

As reported by Rolling Stone, the cumulative value of this potential lifetime deal—which encompasses annual base salary, stock options, royalties from signature merchandise, and on-court performance bonuses—is estimated to surpass $1 billion. Additionally, the agreement includes the acquisition of $75 million worth of Under Armour shares.

Throughout his NBA career, Curry has amassed earnings totaling $350 million thus far. By the conclusion of his current contract in 2025–2026, this figure is projected to reach $470 million.

Furthermore, Curry has garnered substantial income from his prior contract with Under Armour, as well as from endorsement deals with notable entities such as Google, JPMorgan Chase, Rakuten, and CarMax.

Under Armour and Stephen Curry Lock In Groundbreaking Partnership

It’s important to remember that Curry owns and operates Unanimous Media, a production company. Books, podcasts, and a multi-part Apple TV+ documentary about the NBA player have all been produced by it.

Although Curry has already amassed a sizable fortune, it appears that his partnership with Under Armour will be the most lucrative.

It is similar to the Jordan Brand from Nike, however it is created by Under Armour.

Kevin Plank, the founder of the company, expressed, “I couldn’t envision Under Armour without Stephen or Stephen without Under Armour.”

Even after Curry’s retirement from basketball, his new contract will persist, requiring significant efforts in recruiting individuals to represent the Curry Brand.

Last month saw the Sacramento Kings’ point guard De’Aaron Fox become the inaugural athlete to join forces with the Curry Brand, signing a multi-year agreement.

Azzi Fudd, an exceptional player on the UConn women’s basketball team, has secured a NIL contract with the company.

“We are committed to embracing a diverse group of athletes—both male and female, spanning various sports—who aspire to be part of the UA and Curry Brand family,” declared Curry, emphasizing his belief in significant growth potential within this domain.

Should Curry achieve billionaire status, he would join the esteemed ranks of individuals such as Tiger Woods, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, and Michael Jordan.

Kevin Durant is also on track to reach billionaire status. He and Curry were former teammates with the Warriors.
